Top 5 authors I discovered this year

5. Alexandra Bracken

I love everything about this series! It has great characters, it has a great premise and just overall it all fit together. I love Alex' writing and CANNOT WAIT FOR PASSENGER!!

4. Victoria Aveyard

Red Queen was the first high-fantasy book I read. And, honestly, I haven't been too much into fantasy (now I'm absolutely in love with this genre...) but, for me, this was the perfect introduction. Victoria writes in a very action-packed way with short sentences which add to the tension but that really fit to the plot and the characters. so excited for Glass Sword...

 3. Sarah J. Maas

You probably all know the ToG series and if you don't, READ IT! I can only recommend it! Sarah J. Maas' books are amazing and all totally epic - like every single one of them. They made me fall for high-fantasy recently :-)

2. Jennifer L. Armentrout
Okay, I think you all know how much I love Jennifer's books and her writing. It's fun, it's funny, it makes me cry, it makes me laugh. She`s my all time favorite YA/NA author.

 1. Diana Gabaldon

So far I have only read Outlander yet but I FREAKING LOVE IT!! I'm so happy I picked it up even though I never catched up with the TV show, I still enjoyed every bit of it. There's something special about Diana Gabaldon's writing that I can't really put my finger on, but even if nothing at all happens you're not bored or anything, you just want to read on and see what happens next. Outlander is my favorite book ever. Read my full review HERE

  1. I haven't read Red Queen yet but it's right at the top of my TBR pile! I heard there is a bit of a cliff-hanger though so I may wait for the sequel! I love the Darkest Minds trilogy and cant wait for her new book in January. And YES Sarah J. Maas! I love Throne of Glass so much! Great list!

    1. Yes, waiting for the sequel is probably a good plan :D
And Throne of Glass IS LIFE! What's your favorite book in the series? Mine is definitely Queen of Shadows! Because... ROWAN!! I love him :-)

  2. Great post! I totally agree with you on Jennifer L. Armentrout! I read two books by her in 2014 (Frigid and Obsidian) , but six this year (Onyx, Opal, Origin, Opposition, White Hot Kiss, and Scorched)! I just read White Hot Kiss, and can't wait to read Cold Stone Touch! Here's my review of White Hot Kiss, Onyx, and Scorched. Earlier this year I met Victoria Aveyard, and she said she actually went to school for screenwriting, which is why her novel is so action packed! Great post!

    1. Thanks Genni! I really can't get enough of Jennifer's books, whenever I start reading one I can be sure that I will enjoy it! There's actually never been a book of hers that I rated less that 5 out of 5 stars:-)
